Anywhere in North GA is $10K+/ac. right now.
I live in N.GA and am planning to move, if possible. :bull-buddy-icon: |
Re: Georgia mountain land
While not in North Georgia, we bought land in WNC a few years back that was quite reasonable-less than $5,000/acre.
Underground power, private roads and VERY quiet. We are in the process of building a place there and hope to relocate in the next few years. Take a look at Rutherford County and surrounding areas in NC and see what you think,it doesn't have the issues of mountain land(rocky, not very good for growing, cold winters, etc) but also isn't flat or overcrowded. |
Re: Georgia mountain land
don't you think it's a bit too close to the major urban center called Atlanta?

Re: Georgia mountain land
If Atlantans leave in mass, most will head for the bigger mountains they're all familiar with or follow the major highways. I doubt many will go to the northwest corner of the state.
Look around Walker County. Prices have gone up a lot in recent years, but there were still some good prices around Pigeon Mountain not too long ago (the Rollins land), although it's possible developers have bought up a lot of the land since then. |
